SNOWFLAKE

snowflake

Snowflake is my single most rewarding breeding result to date. He is the result of breeding a 50% possible het for pied male ball python to normal females, raising the female offspring to maturity and then breeding these 25% possible het for pied females to known het for pied males.

The entire process took 5 years and Snowflake (DOB 07/21/2003) was the first one I produced! In fact, the ONLY one that year! He is approximately 98% white without a SINGLE blemish on the incredible white of his body. His siblings and parents are all still in our collection and we are planning on producing many more like him.

He currently is residing in a herp enthusiast's collection in Japan. We believe we will producing some of the finest pieds ever seen.

SNOWMAN!

We are pleased to welcome our newest addition of ultra-high white piebald ball pythons. Snowman as hatched this year. As you can see from his pictures, he exhibits the same pristine white body with just his head showing any pattern.

He also shows another trait common amongst the piebald clutches we produced this year. Most of the animals produced this year have their facial stripes extending all the way to the back of their heads to form a 'Y' pattern.

Tip of the Month

Ball Python Health Tip #1

TEMPERATURE - AVERAGE - 85 degrees - The most vital part of maintaining your tropical snake's helath is TEMPERATURE. Ball Pythons are from an area of the world that is, on average only 5 - 8 degrees North of the equator. This means the temps are almost never below the high 60's (degrees Farenheit ), even at night, and are generally in the mid to upper 70's at night and the 80's in the daytime. So, keep you snake WARM and it will stay healthy longer!
