When it comes to spotting owls perched high in the trees, there are few better places than a woodsy park far away from the bright lights of the city.
A place like Hamilton County's Strawtown Koteewi Park, a beautiful 750-acre haven with six miles of trails, located north of Noblesville at 12308 E. Strawtown Ave.

On Jan. 28, the park will feature the Owl Moon Night Hike from 5 to 6 p.m., starting at the Taylor Center, an educational building at the park.
Designed for families or adults interested in learning more about owls, this free event begins with a reading of a popular children's book -- "Owl Moon" by Jane Yolen, a national Caldecott Medal winner in 1988 -- and includes some hands-on stuff for the kids.
Afterward, the night hike will begin.
