Tuskegee Airmen Presentation , 2 p.m. Feb. 19, Air Zoo, 6151 Portage
Road, Portage. In honor of Black History Month, the Air Zoo is holding a
special presentation about the Tuskegee Airmen. Paul Love, an official
torchbearer of the Tuskegee Airmen, will give a multimedia presentation about
the history and significance of the Tuskegee Airmen, the first African-American
airmen in the U.S. military. A meet and greet opportunity will follow. The
Tuskegee Airmen were a part of the "Tuskegee Experiment," the Army Air Corps'
program to train African-Americans to fly and maintain combat aircraft during
World War II. They included pilots, navigators, bombardiers, maintenance and
support staff, instructors, and all of the personnel who kept the planes in the

Habitat for Humanity home dedication and open house , 2 to 3
p.m. with ceremony beginning at 2:30 p.m., Feb. 19, at 3713 Adams St.,
Kalamazoo. Kalamazoo Valley Habitat for Humanity welcomes the community to join
the celebration of a partner family's home at 1202 Nichols Road.
